So sorry, but I no longer update this blog nor the one on MySpace. The only blog that is active now is my LiveJournal, which can be found here: ✿ c h é r i e ✿
Ok, dad, jengan tension! *pat pat* I didn't spend a lot. =^p
Right-o. Now that we got the disclaimer over with, this post is about our (Rachel, Alicia and May San & I) journey to Harbourtown and will have photos mainly taken in my point of view. And so... *pumps a hand into the air ala Hitler* ONWARDS!
This is what the train going to the interchange looks like. Old seats. But the train going to Gold Coast was new. Probably because it's a more tourist-sy region.
Hopped off the train (notice the pavement outside? Like our MRT!) and....
At the entrance to Harbourtown (which is mainly a mini shopping district) is a small fruit market. So colourful. Like one of those Cold Storage adverts or something. kekekeke
MY BOOTS! SOOOOOOO HAPPY I FINALLY FOUND AN APPROPRIATE ONE! In Singapore, comfy boots of this quality would cost at least 100-200 dollars; but because winter is just over and the shops have been clearing the stock, I've been boots hunting/researching ever since, searching for one with the right price, colour, quality, shape, comfort and didn't make me look like a slut. After much cross-examination, it finally boiled down to these two pairs which had the same retail price of $40 and were equally comfortable:
Whilst waiting for the bus back home:
This post is long overdue. I haven't blogged in weeks. So here are all the food entries: Beef julienne with carrots and potatoes; cai xin, cashew nuts, & celery; butter rice flavoured with chopped basil
This was just for a quick (therapeutically and oh-so-deliciously unhealthy) lunch: burrito wrap, devilled sausages and grated mozzarella cheese. Mmmmhmmm..
Penne alla carbonara with streaky bacon and decorated with parsley; hearty home-made tomato soup with garlic, onions and cracked peppercorns
Fish fillets with tomatoes, oregano and finely chopped cashew nuts; stir-fried snap beans, celery and mushrooms

Oooh. LOL. Cos I've been busy xmas shopping (so only had time for FB), but that's all done finally. YAY! So shall blog veeery soon ya. =p
I'm not much of a computer person (I have an unfortunate tendency to crash them where ever I go... *winces*) and therefore have not set up any groups, mailing lists, archives, etc. Way much more of a prowler... forever just skulking around on the edges and every once in a blue moon putting in my two cents worth... be it wanted or not. =^)
I was a Tolkien canon purist... but... what the heck. I gave up ages ago trying to convince people that contrary to popular belief, Legolas was a brunette, not a blonde. LOL.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, aye?
So, the purist got shoved head-first down the privy, kicking and screaming, whilst my Legolas muse gloated and did a victory jig on the toilet seat.
Anyways, I went to see FOTR all snob-like, scoffing "Bah... what's the deal with this elf that has got the oestrogen brigade's panties in a twist?"
*sheepish smile* Yes, you may all laugh at me now.
The phenomenon of the Great Golden God of a Legolas hit me with the force of a drunk troll with a sledgehammer, o' course. It was a close encounter of the third kind: A wham, bam, thank yooou, mister!
So... a dangerously obsessive
here. Everybody head for cover. Mwahehehheheh....
Right-oh. A bio, ye be asking for?
Very well. Be forewarned though. *machiavellian grin* I'm notoriously verbose. Entirely not my fault, I tell you; 'tis the melodramatic Indian blood running through my veins. The same weakness. God, I'm so lame... Aye, I do go off tangent every other line too. *sigh* Where were we? Oh yes. Bio. Onwards:

Wowie firstly congratulations on getting the boots! hah so formal.. i mean... YIPPEE!! U FINALLY found your boots!! And The Price is Right! haha... Woo I am beginning to think you might actually like it there cos of all e fantabulous tings tat u can get thr~ hee hee... Oooh yea and good choice! The first pair looks lk what Legolas wld wear? ahaha oops~
When I think Gold Coast, I think of... water theme parks? err beaches? hah.. is it? hah... Cos u noe when we watch movies they always advertise =p Suddenly feel so swa-koo heh heh...
Btw hw is the Mac's thr? What do they have which is different from here?
the price is right...... Too much TV for you, young lady! ^^
That's PRECISELY why I took so long to choose. The first pair wouldn't gone fabulously with my Halloween pirate costume too. But then I had to calm myself down and think beyond Halloween and Legolas. Toughest decision of my 20 years, I tell you.
Yep. They do have movie world and sea world but we didn't go to that area on that day. Not so swa-koo la. mwaheheheh.
The Mac's here is practically the same. Although they do have one advertisement here for their BLT burger that plays so bloody often that I've got the tune stuck in my head and go around the house chanting, 'Bacon, bacon, bacon!' Talk about literal mind share...
